Pick Analysis:

This Miami team has been a bit of a disappointment so far this season and it is definitely not living up to the expectations of oddsmakers and the general betting public. The Heat are on a 1-7 ATS slide in their last eight and they continue to get hampered with too big, shaded lines. We think the line on this one should be closer to 7 ½, so there is some nice value here. We think the Pacers are a team on the upswing. This squad has some nice players and they have played pretty fluid offensively (100 PPG average) and they have been much better defensively. This team has played pretty tough recently and they have covered three of their last four games. In all those covers, they held their opponents to 90 or fewer points. The dog has a strong history in this series, going 20-6-1 ATS in the last 27 meetings.
