The NBA season is a long one and there are certainly a number of angles that tend to work over the course of the season with looking for an NBA Picks advantage. For years a number of "experts" hung their hat of fading teams playing their second of back to back games on the road. That was certainly an profitable NBA picks angle for a while but like anything else the book makers caught up to this and have since adjusted to take away that advantage. However, in my never ending quest to get an NBA Picks advantage I once again scoured trends and angles. I focused on teams who came back from a large deficit in their previous game. Conventional wisdom would tell you that coming back from a huge deficit would require large efforts and could have an impact on their next NBA Picks contest. So, let's take a look:

by T.O. Whenham - 02/26/2009 Michigan - My beloved Wolverines are in dire straits. With four games remaining they needed two wins to likely made the tournament. That prospect took a serious blow when they turned their brains off and threw away a win in overtime against Iowa. That means that they need to win two of their last three, and it's hard to find those two amongst a home game at Purdue and trips to Wisconsin and Minnesota. Their next game, on Thursday against the Boilermakers, is crucial - they must win that because they are so bad on the road. If they don't then they will be playing for NIT seeding, and that will obviously hurt their motivation.

As of this writing no team in the NHL Central Division has a losing record. Overall San Jose has the beat record in the NHL going 41-9-9 for 91 points.
