Our selection is on the Boston Red Sox to defeat the San Francisco Giants on Friday at 7:10pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:
San Francisco will start Logan Webb who is probably it's best pitcher. But, Webb has never pitched well against Boston allowing 3+ runs in all three starts against it.
The Giants are also just 15-27 against opponents from the American League this season which is the worst non-league record in the MLB.
Boston will start Sonny Gray -- Shockingly, he isn't really in the Cy Young conversation with a 15-3 record and a 2.65 earned run average.
It doesn't matter whether he's on the road or at home. Gray dominates and Boston wins when he pitches.

Our selection is on Olympique de Marseille to defeat RC Strasbourg Alsace on Friday at 2:45pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:
RC Strasbourg had a solid year in 2025-2026, finishing eighth in the Ligue 1.
But, Hugo Oliveira comes in as a new coach in just his third year of being a manager in professional football.
There's obviously lots of skill on Strasbourg. But, it makes take a bit of time for the new manager to adjust to this level of play being in charge.
Igor Paixao is red hot right now for Marseille, scoring in four straight games (preseason).
Marseille will be looking to reach the top three this season after finishing in fifth in Ligue 1 a year ago.
