Our selection is on the Green Bay Packers / Pittsburgh Steelers to finish OVER the total on Thursday at 7:00pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:
Green Bay is playing it's starters for a 'brief period of time' in this game, which should provide some early scoring.
The Packers defense was atrocious in it's opening preseason game last year, allowing 30 points to the Jets in a 30-10 loss.
With the Pack not playing their starters a year ago in this week, things should be quite different this year.
Pittsburgh might not play it's starters. But, that shouldn't be a problem for the offense.
The Steelers have a great veteran in Mason Rudolph along with a couple of very young / strong QB's in college with Drew Allar and Will Howard.
These QB duels for the backup spot should fuel the offense to get going as well.
