Nashville has lost five of six, including yesterday at Pittsburgh in OT. This is the Predators' third game in four days in three different cities. Colorado has not been sharp either at 6-5 SU, but they have won two straight on the PL, and I have this to ponder. Sunday Favorites of -200 to -300 against the ML, after successfully covering the spread in two or more consecutive games, are an amazing 39-2. Take the Avs on the 60-minute line.
Tennessee earned its first win of the season last week against the Colts. While it was great to scratch out a W, the Titans were outgained 399-186. That’s not good. Cleveland’s a stunning 4-2 and tied for first in the highly competitive AFC North. The Browns aren’t taking the AFC by storm as they are -16 in point differential after a half dozen starts. The Cleveland defense should thoroughly lock down a Tennessee offense that has failed to reach 200 yards in consecutive games. That should set up shorter fields for Deshaun Watson to take advantage of. When the line is +3 to -3 and a club, the Titans have lost three out of their last four games; against opponents having won two out of their last three, they are 12-37 ATS.
Tampa Bay has played everyone tough since losing Baker Mayfield, yet is still 1-5 and 1-4-1 ATS. Other than facing a rugged Cleveland defense on the road, Carolina has averaged 32 PPG. Yes, it’s a division battle; the line is taking that into consideration. The Panthers have the edge at QB and should build a working margin heading into the fourth quarter to close this out against whoever is playing QB for Tampa Bay. The Bucs are 0-7 ATS, having lost three out of their last four games and 0-7 ATS off a non-conference game. The Cats by 10 or more.
All the teams in the AFC North have two defeats, with Cincinnati having played one less game, coming off a bye week. The current line suggests Lamar Jackson is not playing for Baltimore at home, and last week revealed what is true for most teams: you prefer your BU quarterback doesn’t have to play consecutive times. Cincy should be sharp after a bye, as more rested teams are 17-6-1 ATS to this point in 2026. I know the Ravens are 6-0 ATS after a loss by six or less points. Nonetheless, the Bengals are 8-0 ATS away after a game with a turnover margin of +2 or better. Cincy outright!
