1* FREE PLAY Avs.

I think the home side is worth the price of admission here vs. the floundering Penguins. Pittsburgh comes to town off four straight losses. Colorado has won six straight. It's scored 15 goals and given up just five over its last three. The Avs also play with revenge after a 2-1 loss at Pittsburgh in February. Considering all of these factors, I say that Colorado is worthy of a "second look" on Wednesday night!

Wednesday NHL Free play. My selection is on the 'over' between Pittsburgh and Colorado at 8:05 pm et on Wednesday.

Both of these teams enter this game riding 'under' streaks. The Penguins have seen each of their last three and five of their last six contests stay 'under' the total. Of course the one game that did go 'over' the total over that stretch was a barn-burner against the Canadiens that totalled 10 goals. Curiously, the Pens enter this game having allowed 18 goals over their last four contests. Their offense has quite simply run dry but they do check in averaging 3.6 goals per game when coming off a one-goal loss over the last two seasons, as is the case here, with the 'over' cashing at a 24-10 clip in that spot. Colorado is coming off back-to-back 'under' results. The polar opposite of Pittsburgh, it has scored a whopping 15 goals over its last three contests. Here, we'll note that the Avs have averaged an impressive 4.3 goals per game when coming off consecutive games in which they scored at least five goals over the last three seasons with that situation coming up 24 times. The 'over' is also 26-12 with the Avs coming off a win by three goals or more over a division opponent over the same stretch, leading to an average total of 6.9 goals in that situation. Take the over.

Sean went a PERFECT 3-0 last night - his FIFTH STRAIGHT winning card! He's RED HOT on the hardwood right now, including a 10-3 start to the NCAA Tournament and a 3-0-1 mark in NIT action! It's the PERFECT time to hop on board as Murph has more winners on tap Wednesday!
