We watch the final weekend of major Kentucky Derby preps, as they ran four Graded Stakes, lead by Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park, the Illinois Derby at Hawthorne, the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct and the Santa Anita Derby at Santa Anita. While we still have the Blue Grass Stakes and Arkansas Derbies to be run on April 11 followed by the Lexington Stakes on April 18 and the Derby Trial on the 25th, this year’s Derby cast has no heavily favored 3-year-old like last year’s Big Brown, but rather a closely bunch group of 7 possible candidates that can win the “Run for the Roses,” on the first Saturday of May.

On Monday April 6th the N.Y.Mets will open there 47th season in franchise history.They will open up in Cincinnati facing the Reds with there ace on the mound. Johan Santana will take the hill in hopes of starting the team in the right direction. The Mets have a brand new stadium this year in Citi Field.They must forget the struggles of the last 2 season which saw them miss the playoffs and lose to the same Florida team at home on the last day of the season.

The College Basketball Picks season has whittled itself down to the Final Four teams when Uconn takes on Michigan State and Villanova looks to upset North Carolina. Both of the #1 seeds come into this weekend of Final NCAAB Picks listed as the favorite. Historically the #1 seeds have been a profitable endeavor as they are 7-3 ATS the last 10 NCAAB Picks. The #3 seeds (Villanova) have also been on the positive side of the ledger in Final Four action as they are a profitable 7-2 ATS the L9 times.
