I am taking the Capitals here on the ML against the Hurricanes in a MUST WIN game for Washington. The Hurricanes might be up 3-1, however they are significantly overvalued in this spot, especially given it is on the road where they have underperformed. Frederik Anderson takes the net for the Canes who is 2-5 his L7 road starts and will be seeing LOTS of shots tonight. Logan Thompson is far better at home than on the road, going 4-1 his L5 home games and allowed no more than 2 goals in each of those wins. The Canes are 15-23 as a road favorite and 1-6 on the road off a home blowout win by 3 goals or morewhile the Caps are 6-1 at home off a loss against a division rivaland 9-2 at home revenging a same season loss vs opponent. I am backing the Leafs here on the ML at this great price at home in what is a must win game for them, before this returns to Sunrise, FL. The Leafs offense went stale in Game 4, and that happening back to back games with one of them at home - is very unlikely. Both goalies did incredible, however lets not overlook how well Joseph Woll did stopping 35 of 37 shots. The Leafs offense is strongest at home and I expect a big showing from them, where they have lit it up in Toronto scoring 3 or more goals in 6 of their L8 home games. The Leafs are 31-15 SU at home in all situations and 7-3 as a home dog, while the Panthers are 7-9 SU on the road after playing a home game and 12-14 as a road fav of -200 or less. I am taking the Leafs here at this great price on the road against the Panthers. The Panthers won in OT last time out, and on the season, Florida is just 2-8 SU following an Overtime win. Toronto, has excelled playing on the road, off a road loss going 7-2 SU this season in this spot, and 6-0 SU on the road off a loss against a division rival. I am taking the Oilers on the ML here at home against the Kings. This is bad spot for Vegas who is now in an uphill battle against arguably the NHLs hottest team right now. Calvin Pickard has now won 6 games in a row and has gotten great support from his offense. Adin Hill has struggled a lot this series allowing 9 goals so far and posted under a .875 SV% in both games. Vegas is 3-7 SU as a road dog this season and the Oilers are 27-12 SU as a home favorite. Play the Oilers on the ML here. -Joey Tron

I am taking the Jets on the ML here against the Stars. The Jets took their first home post season loss yesterday, and similar to the Caps they cannot go to Dallas down 2-0. Winnipeg is 4-1 SU in all home playoffs games this season while Dallas, is a modest 2-2. The downfall for Winnipeg last game was going 0-4 on the Man Advantage which will be much better this game. Winnipeg out shot and out hit Dallas in Game 1 and will do it again in Game 2, but with a different scoreline. I am taking the Capitals here on the ML against the Hurricanes. Washington losing back to back on home ice is uncharacteristic and I look for them to come out in full force as this series can be close to over if they go to Carolina down 2-0. The Hurricanes however, have not had a lot of their success come on the road this season. They are 3-10 SU on the road coming off a win against a division rival and 4-8 SU on the road after allowing 1 goal or less. The Capitals however, are 14-6 SU revenging a loss against an opponent on home ice and 29-16 in all home games this year. This is a big spot where Ovechkin and the Caps come through at this price. I am grabbing the Jets here on the ML against the Stars at plus money. I know we backed St. Louis in Game 7, however Winnipeg has shown time and time again why they are one of the best home teams in hockey. Emotional hangover? I think not. The Stars have historically struggled in Game 1s of a Playoffs Series (0-7 since 2023) and Hellebuyck looks revitalized after that sensational come back thriller. The Stars may have upset one of the leagues most potent teams, however they had lost 8 straight prior to winning 4 of 6 and can start slow yet again here. I am taking the Panthers here on the ML against the Leafs. The Panthers looked great in their opening series against Tampa winning 4 of the L5 games after getting blown out in Game 1. The Leafs had trouble closing out the Senators having lost 2 of the L3 games in that series and half of them were games ended in OT. Bobrobsky has posted wins in 4 of his L5 games started and has posted over a .900 SV% in 3 of those 5. Anthony Stolarz is expected to start for Toronto, who has been not as sharp losing 2 of his L3 starts with a sub .900 SV% in both losses. This series is going to come down to the special teams and the Leafs have met their match here as Florida ranked 10th on PK during the season and the Lightning went 3-23 on the man adv against Florida in their series. I am taking the Blues here on the ML at this great price. Offense has been controlling this series with 6+ goals coming in every game this series, except for Game 2. Connor Hellebuyck has been abysmal this post season posting a 4.22 GAA and was yanked in all 3 games played in St. Louis. This is not just one bad series, he is 5-11 and has a .860 SV% his L3 post seasons and is not trustworthy. Jordan Binnington has allowed 2 goals or less in 4 of the L5 games this series, and has posted over a .900 SV% in 2 of the L3. This is a big spot for the Blues who have out played the Jets this entire series. Play on the Blues ML here at this great price. -Joey Tron

I am taking the Stars here on the ML against the Avalanche in this Game 7. The Stars may have lost the last game, but this is a great spot for them as historically, in NHL Playoff Game 7s, the home team has 58% Win Rate going 115-82. Not only this, but the Avalanche have struggled all season coming off a home win when playing their next game on the road, as they are 2-8 SU this season. The Stars, have defended home ice great all season going 30-13 SU and are 15-5 revenging a same season loss versus an opponent. Mackenzie Blackwood has been far too inconsistent his last 2 games allowing 9 goals on just 44 shots. Take the Stars ML here at this great price. -Joey Tron

I am taking the Blues here at home to force a Game 7. Home ice has reigned supreme in this series and I do not see that changing now. The Blues have outscored Winnipeg 12-3 on home ice this series and will be a force to reckon with. Jordan Binnington has been superb posting a 10-4-1 record and .909 SV% his L15 starts in net while Hellebuyck, still good has been less impactful for the Jets, allowing 14 goals his L3 games in this series and posted over a .900 SV% in just one game this series. I am taking the Senators here on the ML against the Leafs at home. Are we on the verge of yet another catastrophic meltdown from the Leafs? I certainly think so. The Sens have out played the Leafs in each of the L4 games, and have taken full control of this series, even if they are down 3-2. They have outscored Toronto 8-3 the last 2 games and their goaltending has been much better. This series is going 7, take the Senators ML here. -Joey Tron 

I am taking the UNDER here between the Devils and Hurricanes. Game 4 saw a one sided affair on behalf of Carolina, and with their backs against the wall, the Devils MUST keep this one close. Jacob Markstrom allowed just 2 goals in back to back games prior to his blunder last time out, and I see a strong start coming. Carolina has been outstanding defensively, allowing just 1 goal in both home games, and are strongest in Raleigh, then anywhere else. My data shows head to head in this situation the under is 12-5-3. I am taking the UNDER here between the Lightning and Panthers. The Panthers can take a commanding 3-1 lead in this series with a win tonight and it all starts on the defensive front. Bobrovsky has done well prior to his blunder in his last start and I think this is a great comeback spot for him as his two games prior, he allowed just 2 goals on 41 shots. Vasilevsky has done great in back to back starts allowing 1 goal in each of em' and will be hungry for another strong start. This should be a close low scoring game with minimal goals. I am taking the Oilers here on the ML against the Kings. Home-Ice Advantage is real for these two teams momentum will carry over with Edmonton who scored 4 straight goals in the 3rd last game. The Oilers significantly out shot the Kings last game and getting more SOG is how Edmonton will be successful - in addition to crowding the net. I am taking the Senators here on the ML against the Leafs. I took them in Game 3, and I am doing it again tonight in Game 4 as the Senators just will not get swept. Ottawa is not making the most of their chances given going just 2-9 on the Man Advantage and have lost each of the L2 games in OT 3-2, even though they outshot Toronto 48-41 in those games. This is do or die for the Sens and at home, they are their most potent and get steal one here. My data shows that home teams off a home loss against a division rival against opponent off 2 consecutive close wins by 1 goal over a division rival are 24-7 SU dating back to 2021. I am taking the Oilers ML here at home against the Kings. This is a big spot for the Oilers as this series heads across to border to Edmonton - and I expect a big showing from them following that trouncing in Game 2. Edmonton was strongest at home this year and generated just under 27 SOG per game. The Kings had their biggest struggles away from where they averaged under 3 goals per game and will be at a disadvantage here. I am taking the Devils here on the ML at home against the Hurricanes. This is do or die for the Devils and at home, this is their best shot. In both the regular / post season thus far, the home team has won and that trend will hold true here again. The Devils offense registered just 2 goals last game, however they had generated 7.09 expected goals and were a dreadful 0-3 on the man advantage. The Devils have the third best Power Play in the league, and the leagues best Penalty Kill. Carolina is no doubt good and deserving of this 2-0 series lead however they do not fair well on the road - with just one road win their last eight. I am backing the Senators here on the ML against the Leafs. Toronto might be up 2-0 in the series, but in terms of physicality and offense - Ottawa has been the better team. The Senators have outshot the Leafs 61 to 45 and have out hit them in both games, 104-58. The Senators on paper look much more balanced and this is do or die for them tonight. First home playoff game since 2017 and a stout 49-26 in all homes dating back to 2023. This is a huge spot where Ottawa will defend their home ice. Take the Senators ML here. -Joey Tron

I am taking the UNDER here between the Stars and Avalanche. The first game featured no shortage of goals from the Avs and little to no defense fro the Stars. Game 2 will be a lot more center of the aisle with a lot less scoring chances. The Stars defense is better than that of their last game and will need a huge defensive showing before going back to COL. My data shows that in this situation, head to head, the under is 16-14. I am taking the OVER here between the Leafs and Senators. Both teams have strong offenses that can no doubt light the lamp. The Leafs are riding into the playoffs hot with wins in 9 of their L10 including 5 straight and have scored 4+ goals in 3 straight. The Senators have been scoring as well with 4+ in 3 of their L4 games but their goaltending has been worrisome and Toronto can certainly capitalize on chances when given. I am taking the UNDER here between the Blues and Jets. This should be a great series with low scoring games due to great goaltending on both sides. Both Hellebuyck & Binnington hold under a 3.00 GAA and have above .900 SV%. The Jets have one of the best defenses in the leagues and the Blues have surged on both ends of the ice showing what they are truly capable of. I am taking the UNDER here between the Flames and Kings. Both teams are closing out their respective seasons tonight however the Kings have the Playoffs to gear up for and I look a big defensive showing. The Flames are eliminated and will want to play strong one last time in front of their home crowd. This should feature two good goalies that can make good saves. I am taking the OVER here between the Maple Leafs and Sabres. The Leafs are showing no signs of slowing down and are moving full steam into the playoffs now winning 7 of 8 and have scored at least 3 goals in every win, but one of them. The Sabres season is all but over and they are coming off a 7-4 beat down by Tampa. Reimer is in net for Buffalo who has back to back losses allowing an average of 5 Goals per Game and the Leafs can do some damage. I am taking the UNDER here between the Kings and Oilers. Both teams have locked up their playoff spots but I still see this being a low scoring tight game. Neither team has been all that on the defensive side so I am looking for a big breakout spot for defenses right the Playoffs and not only that, but the 3 times they have played each other, 2 of those gams went under this posted total. I am taking the OVER here between the Devils and Islanders. The Islanders are coming off a devastating loss to the Flyers that ended their Playoff chances and the Devils will be hungry for some positive momentum carrying into the Post season. Both defenses are struggling right now as both have allowed 4+ in back to back games but their offenses have been keeping it competitive as both NJD and NYI have scored at least 2 goals in 5 straight. I am taking the Islanders here on the road against the Flyers. The Flyers are eliminated from the Playoffs and after scoring 8 goals last game, I see a big let down here. The Islanders are in a MUST WIN spot after suffering back to back losses and this is a great spot for them, with the Habs visiting Toronto. Samuel Ersson is expected to start for the Flyers and he has been bad news as of late for Philadelphia, going 3-8 his L11 starts. I am taking the OVER here between the Capitals and Blue Jackets. This should be a high scoring game as history between these two as shown that. Washington has locked up home ice and is playing for the President’s Trophy while the Blue Jackets are fighting for their lives sitting just 6 points behind the Canadians. Columbus is strongest at home winning 3 of their L4 at home and scored 3+ in every game. The Capitals have a fiery offense that has their struggles on the road, but will be ready following a big come back against Carolina last time out. I am taking the Flames here on the ML against the Wild. This is huge spot for the Flames at home and a MUST win for their Playoffs chances following their OT loss to the Ducks. Wild goalie, Filip Gustavsson has been wildly inconsistent his last several starts allowing an average of 3.4 Goals per Game his L5, with 2 games allowing 5. He has lost 5 straight road starts and the Flames, have secured at least 1 point in 3 of their L4 home games. My data shows the Flames are 12-8 SU against the Wild in this situation. I am taking the Blue Jackets here on the ML against the Sabres. Buffalo may have surged with 5 straight wins, but I do not trust them on the road here against Columbus, who actually has something to play for here. They snapped a 3 game skid with a win against the Senators last time out and are strongest at home versus on the road. Merzlikins is 4-2 his L6 starts and should have a strong outing at home tonight. I am taking the Islanders here on the ML against the Predators. The Predators are extremely sneaky and are just about finished with this season. The Islanders are still in the chase for the Wild Card and every game matters now. They are riding with momentum following a home thrashing over Washington, and have now won back to back. I am taking the Capitals here on the ML against the Islanders. The Capitals are in the perfect position to clinch home ice throughout the playoffs and are sniffing Winnipeg for the President's Trophy.. Did I mention Ovie will likely break the record for most goals surpassing Wayne Gretzky? The Capitals are not RED-HOT per say however these are the games they must win if they want a strong playoff ride. I am taking the Golden Knights at home here against the Jets. Both of these teams are two of the top in the Western Conference, however the Jets have not had success against Vegas. Vegas is 12-4 the L16 h2h and 6-2 SU when playing in Vegas. The Jets lost 4-1 at LAK last time out and Hellebuyck is now making his 12th start in 13 games (5 in a row). This Vegas offense is legit and is averaging just under 4 goals per game on home ice this season. This will be a close one that the Knights should win at home. Take VGK ML here. -Joey Tron

I am taking the Lightning here on the ML against the Senators. The Senators have squandered many opportunties to secure points for a playoff push and have now put them in a tough spot. Tampa Bay is coming to town and is HOT with 4 straight wins and 4+ goals in each game. The Senators goaltending has been weak allowing 6 goals their L2 games and offensively, have been stale with just 2 goals in those contests. Tampa has no doubt been shaky on the road however they have won 2 of 3 against Ottawa this season, including back to back. The Senators have struggled against subpar teams and I expect a whole world of troubles against this offense. Take the Lightning ML here. -Joey Tron

I am taking the Senators on the puck line here against the Sabres. Ottawa has everything in front of them and it all starts with securing every point possible in this game. This is a revenge spot for the Senators who just lost in Buffalo but the sights and location have changed. The Senators have played their best hockey at home and the Sabres have played some of their worst outside of their home arena. Reimer is making his 5th start in 6 games and eventually that will catch up. Buffalo exploded for 8 goals last game against the Capitals and I see a huge letdown spot here as they are tasked with their third and final road game of this trip. I am taking the Senators here on the ML against the Penguins. It is crunch time now for Ottawa to build on their WC lead and they are doing it. Winners in 3 of their L4 and 9 of their L12. The Penguins have not done anything explosive on offense with losses in 4 of their L5 and return home for one quick hoe game and then a 4 game road trip. I am taking the Oilers here on the road against the Kraken. The Oilers just had a crushing 4-3 loss to Dallas and I look for them to rebound to rebound here. They are 4-2 SU their L6 and have been zig zagging W/Ls their last few games. They have a rested Pickard who is making his first true start in 3 games and is 3-1 his L4 starts. The Kraken have lost 3 in a row and are 1-4 their L5 games. Kraken are 5-18 since 2024 revenging a loss when the opponent scored 4 or more on them. Take the Oilers here. -Joey Tron

I am taking the Ducks here at home against the Bruins. The Bruins are ICE COLD right now in losers of 6 straight and have scored more than 2 goals just once in that 6 game span. The Ducks are streaky, but they are competitive and you can get a couple of goals out of them. They are averaging 3 GPG their L3 and are 12-9 SU at home after 1 or more consecutive losses. I am taking the Islanders here at home against the Canucks. It is crunch time for the Isles if they want to play post season hockey. They are 3-0-2 their L5 games picking up at least 1 point in all 5 and have some solid offensive production with 3 or more goals in 5 straight. Vancouver has been on a LONG road trip with 3 more to go (including this one) and have not faired well as of late. They are 2-3 their L5 and their goaltending has been subpar to say the least. Lankinen has now lost 5 of his L7 starts and will have troubles yet again tonight. The Islanders are 14-4 SU this season following a division game. Take the Islanders ML here. -Joey Tron

I am taking Calgary here at home against the Kraken. The Kraken have lost back to back and allowed 9 goals in those 2 games. In addition to that, they are on the end of a 4 game road trip before heading home to face Edmonton and Dallas (back to back). The Flames are fighting for a playoff spot and have won 3 in a row entering this one with 3.6 GPG in that span. Winning on home ice matters come playoffs and this a must win for Calgary. I am taking the Utah HC at home on the PL here against the Red Wings. The Red Wings who once had a beacon of light have absolutely plummeted now 2-9 their L11 and have lost their L6 road trips. The Hockey Club is quietly surging  in winners of back to back and 4 of their L6. They’ve covered in back to back home games and have averaged 3.75 GPG their L4. Lay it with Utah HC here. -Joey Tron

I am taking the Golden Knights here on the ML against the Lightning. Both of teams are on back to backs however I give the advantage to Vegas here. They are home for their game on Saturday and have had plenty of rest (2 games L6 days). The Lightning are on the finale of a 3 game road trip and are coming off a crushing loss to Utah HC. The Golden Knights are 10-4 SU at home this season revenging a loss versus an opponent and will be hungry coming into this. Take Vegas ML here. 

I am taking the Capitals here on the ML against the Panthers. Florida has lost 3 of 5 and are on their final game of a 6 game road trip where they have not performed the best. Not only that, but their offense has gone quiet averaging just 1.3 GPG over their L3. The Capitals are on a tear winning 8 of their L9 and are going with Logan Thompson who is well rested and is 3-0 his L3 home starts allowing 2 or less goals in each of em'. I like the Senators here on the road against the Habs. The Senators are red hot winning 6 straight and the Canadians have not produced many shots resulting in losses in 3 of their L5. The Senators have scored at least 4 goals in three straight games and in every game on this 6 game win streak except for one. I am taking the Bruins here at home against the Sabres. This is a big spot for Boston and with the season winding down, these are the must win games they have to take advantage of. The Sabres have won 2 of 3 and enter this off a win, but looking back a little further they had 6 straight losses prior and are 0-5 SU their L5 road trips. The Bruins are coming off two brutal losses and playing a subpar team is something they need as they are 24-15 SU at home when revenging a loss versus an opponent. I am taking the Senators as a road dog against the Leafs. The Sens have had the upper hand over them winning 5 in a row and I really do not see that changing. The Leafs are not playing well with losses in 4 of their L5 and Stolarz has been unreliable. I am taking the Jets here at home against the Stars.  The Jets had a small 3 game losing skid but are now back winning 3 of their L4 and are well rested coming into this big show down. Dallas is on their 3rd of four straight road games and have gone just 4-3 SU their L7 road games allowing 4+ in each loss. The Jets play good teams very well going 9-2 SU at home against teams with a wining record and Dallas has gone 5-9 SU in this spot, but on the road. Take the Jets ML here. -Joey Tron

I like the Panthers here on the road against the Leafs. The Panthers snapped their 6 game win streak last time out however I look for a big bounce back spot here. The Leafs snapped a 3 game losing streak against the Utah HC last time out but their 2 previous losses come from far superior teams - similar to the Panthers and Stolarz has lost back to back starts allowing a total of 7 goals. I like the Hurricanes here at home against the Lightning. The Lightning were hot winning  8 straight however they are 2-2 their L4 and have had shortcomings defensively and with goaltending. This is a revenge spot for Carolina and they have excelled in this position all season going 9-0 at home when revenging a same season loss. The Lightning have not faired well on the road against good teams going just 5-8 and will not have it easy tonight. I’m playing the Oilers on the PL here against the Sabres. Buffalo has yet again become streaky with 6 straight losses - and they have not been pretty. The Oilers have new found life with wins in 3 of their L4 scoring 3+ in each win. Buffalo goaltending has been a nightmare 4 or more goals allowed across this stretch. This is game we see the true Edmonton team - especially going against Luukkonen who is 0-4 with a 4.40 GAA in March. Lay the PL with Edmonton. -Joey Tron

I like the Rangers here at home against CBJ. The Rangers played a tough loss yesterday to the Senators losing 4-3 and have now lost back to back one goal games. The bright side for them is the Rangers are 3-1 at home this season when playing on back to back days and the Blue Jackets have been in a rut themselves. They enter this one losing back to back and allowed an average of 4.5 GPG in those contests. I like the Stars here on the road against the Oilers. The Stars are playing well since resuming action and the Oilers have yet to hit their stride. Dallas has won 4 in a row and 7 of their L8 with and have been an offensive juggernaut scoring 4+ in 7 of those wins. The Oilers may have won 2 of their L3 however, they are just 2-5 since the break resumed and goaltending has been of the main concern allowing an average of 4.2 GPG in this span. I like the Wild here on the road against the Canucks. Vancouver has far from a home ice advantage and the Wild are much stronger on the road than in front of their own fans. The Canucks sopped their losing skid with a win against the lowly Ducks last time out - however they are 2-4 SU their L6 with two of the losses coming booked as a favorite. I like the Predators here at home against the Kraken.. Neither team is all that however the Kraken are selling and the Predators have young talent here. Not only that, but the Predators are MUCH stronger at home where they are 3-2 their L5 with bing wins over the Jets and Avalanche. I like the Capitals here on the road against the Rangers. The Caps had a nice win against the Sens last time out and I look for them to build on this. The Caps are 3-1 their L4 road trips and will build off this. The Rangers may have back to back 4-0 wins however the level of competition was not significant (Nashville & NYI). I like Sabres on the road here against the Habs. The Sabres catch themselves on a 2 game losing skid with their most recent loss coming to this very Canadians team on their home ice. Beating a team twice in a home and home situation is not only rare but VERY unlikely. The Sabres had won back to back prior to this short skid and were 4-1 their L5 before that. The Habs have no doubt been playing well but the Sabres are a thorn in the side who will be a seeking triple revenge here a situation where they are 10-1 SU since 2023. I like the Bruins here at this great ML price. Both the Wild and Bruins have had a rough start since resuming to action however the Bruins have faired well on back to backs and this momentum should carry over. The Wild have lost 3 of 4 and have scored 2 goals or less in 3 straight games and have been getting crushed on the Penalty Kill as teams have gone 6-13 in this 4 game span. I like the Hurricanes here at home against the Oilers. Edmonton has struggled immensely since returning to action losing all 4 of their games - and it has not been pretty. They have allowed 4+ in every game thus far and have lost by 3 goals or more in all but one. The Hurricanes dropped their first 2 games but won 5-2 at home against the Sabres where they are the strongest and will build on that today. I like the Blue Jackets here in the Stadium Series against the Red Wings. This might be one of the biggest games in Blue Jackets history and I expect them to show up in front of their home state's crowd. They have won 3 in a row since returning to action and offensively have scored 5+ in every game. The Red Wings have split their action going 2-2 but they goaltending has been sub par allowing 3 or more goals in all but one of those contests. I like the Rangers here at home against the Leafs. Both of these teams enter this game on win streaks however I give the edge to the Rangers here. The Rangers offense is starting to put the pieces together scoring 10 goals their L2 games and defensively, have only allowed an average of 2 GPG in that span. Toronto is getting bailed out by their high scoring however Shesterkin has rebounded following his blunder in Buffalo and Toronto will not have it easy against him. I like the Ducks here at home against the Canucks. This is a quick turn around for Vancouver who played to a 3-2 OT win in LAK last night. The Ducks enter this off back to back one goal road losses and this is a great rebound spot for them at home where they've been strongest as of late. I like the Devils here on the road against the Avalanche. The Avalanche have struggled to generate offensive since resuming play after the 4 Nations Tourney and those struggles should continue tonight. The Devils rebounded with a 5-0 thrashing over the Predators and look to build on this against a struggling Avalanche team. Defensively, Colorado has allowed an avg of 30.5 SOG their first 2 back and are averaging just 1 Goal scored per game thus far. I like the Red Wings here on the road against the Wild. This is the second end of a back to back for the Wild against the Red Wings where they were victorious over the weekend - however I see a different tune tonight. The Red Wings got the dust off with a win last time out and the Wild have idly waiting. Detroit has ripped off 35+ SOG in 3 of their L4 games and should be firing on Gustavsson. The Wild have been allowing many SOG and in fact haave allowed 30+ in 5 of 6 which can be trouble here. I like the Capitals here on the ML at home against the Oilers. Both of these teams are on back to backs however the Capitals looked MUCH better on the road than Edmonton did as they tallied 8 goals. Not only that, Washington has amassed 22 goals their L4 games overall and show no signs of slowing down. The Oilers had struggles on defense and with goaltending before the break allowing an average of 3.4 GPG their L5 and nearly doubled that in their first game back allowing 6 to the Flyers. I like the Rangers here on the road against the Sabres. The Rangers will want to start the second half of the season on a high note and this is a great team for it. The Sabres went on a 4-1 streak before losing to the Predators and with how streaky they are - I see them coming back down to reality. I like the Ranges here on the PL at home against the Bruins. I faded the Bruins against the Wild and I am doing it again here at the Garden. Boston is likely turning to Joonas Korpisalo who has been untrustworthy between the pipes allowing 5 or more in 3 of his L5 starts. Igor Shesterkin is no doubt in a rut but after 3 straight losses a few games ago - he wheeled off 4 straight wins allowing just 4 goals. The Rangers are 7-1 at home revenging a blowout loss of 3+ goals and Boston is 14-19 on the road when playing on their 2nd game in 5 days.

I like the Jets here at home against the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes are coming off of a 4-2 loss to the Kings and their goaltending overall has been subpar allowing 7 goals their L3 games. The Jets are riding hot peeling off 6 wins in a row and offensively have been clicking on all cylinders. They are 6-12 on the Power Play their L5 games and have been dominant defensively prior to the Caps game. The Wild are strongest on the road and the Bruins just snapped their 2 game skid with a win against the Rangers and following this home game - they have a trip to the Garden to play the Rangers again. I like the Blues here at home against the Canucks. The Blues have lost back to back against two of the best teams in the Western Conference (VGK / DAL) and they now face a Canucks team, who snapped a 2 game skid with a home win against the Capitals last time out. Vancouver is 2-4 their L6 and 1-3-2 their L6 road trips and have not had luck in finding the net with just a maximum of 3 goals in a game in that 6 game span. I like the Habs on the road here against the Red Wings as a good ML dog. The Habs are winners of back to back and 4 of their L5 including strong wins over the Rangers, Lightning and Stars. The Red Wings are losers of 3 straight  are not generating many scoring chances at all. They are 1-9 on the Power Play in this losing stand and are not getting help defensively, as they are allowing an average of 3.3 GPG. I like the Avs here at home against the Jets. The Avalanche lost 3-1 last time out and the Jets similarly lost, 5-2. They are tasked with another road trip with revenge on the mind of the Avalanche. Colorado has been zig zagging W/Ls their L10 and this is their get right spot on an extended road trip. Winnipeg has allowed 8 goals their L2 games and the Avalanche offense should generate plenty of scoring chances  COL is 14-6 SU at home revenging a same season loss versus an opponent and WPG is 3-7 SU on the road off a blowout loss by 3+. I like the Stars here at home against the Canes. This is going to be a great game between two really good goalies and I give the home team the advantage here. The Canes have won back to back including a 4-3 OT win last night against Chicago. The Stars rebounded with a 4-1 against Detroit after losing to the Avs and I look for them to build on this. Carolina will not be able to dig themselves out of a hole if they fall behind early and the Stars have 7 first period goals their L5 and 29 against the East. I like the Rangers here at home against the Sens. The Rangers dropped a gam win OT to the Habs last time out and return home for a big Eastern Conference match up. The Sens have won back to back and are one the 2nd of a 3 game road trip where they will face struggles. Outside of their lopsided win against Boston, the Sens have failed to score more than 2 goals in a game their L3. Rangers goaltending has been inconsistent but their is substantial confidence in Igor Shesterkin who is 4-1 his L5 and 2-0 his L2 in MSG. I like the Jets here on the road against Utah. This is Winnipegs first road trip for 2025 and the last home game for Utah before they take on a 3 game road stand. Utah snapped their 3 game skid last time out however I see issues tonight against Winnipeg. The Jets lost last time out but were victorious in their 3 prior games outscoring opponents 11-2. I expect a strong showing from Hellebuyck who is well rested after sitting against Calgary. WPG is 10-2 SU as a road fav and UTAH is 1-10 SU after 2 or more consecutive home games. The Avalanche will be playing with some extra motivation here after that brutal collapse against the Oilers and having lost to DAL prior this year 5-3. Nedelijkovic is in net for the Pens and he was crushed by OTT last time out allowing 5 goals on 17 shots. I like the Rangers here on the road against the Utah Hockey Club. The Rangers are playing much better hockey winning 2 of 3 and 3 of 5 with both of their losses coming in OT. They have great wins against NJ and VGK while Utah has falling back to back and are losers in 4 of the L5. Utah has a lot of their struggles at home averaging just 2.5 GPG which will not be nearly enough against this Rangers offense who is averaging 3.5 GPG over the L6. I like the Flyers here on the ML on the road against the Islanders. The Flyers are coming off a tough SO loss to the Blue Jackets and this is a great get-right spot for them. The Islanders have been abysmal on the PP going 0-15 their L15 chances and rank dead last on the PK. The Flyers have been playing competitive hockey either winning or losing by 1 goal in 5 of their L5 games. The Flyers will get chances and should produce a couple of goals. I like the Blue Jackets here at home against the Flyers. The Flyers had a big win against the Panthers Monday evening and immediately have to travel to Columbus for this one. The Blue Jackets are playing excellent hockey winning 4 in a row and will find success here. After a 4 game home stand, the Flyers begin a 3 game road stand where they have not found much success. I like the Lightning here on the road against the Bruins. The Bruins snapped their 6 game skid last time out however they are welcoming a tough Lighting team to TD Garden. Tampa has owned the H2H series winning 4 of the L5 and should pick up another victory here. The Bruins goaltending has had many issues allowing 3+ in 6 of 7 games and this Lighting offense should take advantage here. I like the Blackhawks here at home against the Flames. Chicago has been playing competitive hockey and they should be a live dog tonight at home. They have played tough these L3 games with a 3-1 win over the Avalanche and most recently a 4-3 loss to Edmonton, while tallying 12 goals their L3 games. The Flames have won back to back however they were losers of back to back before that and those victories came with by just 1 goal (3-2 & 2-1). I like the Penguins here at home against the Senators in an Eastern Conference clash. The Penguins snapped their 4 game losing streak last time out however it is important to note each of those final 3 losses were in OT/SO against teams who are playoff contenders. The Senators have now lost 4 in a row and were shutout in half of those games while allowing 3+ in each of them. The Penguins should build off this win and start a little hot streak.
