Not only is the unique tip time something to factor but the Merrimack Zone defense should force App State to have to take a lot of jumpers and threes and this team was very weak last year shooting the ball unless the occasional bench player got hot. Each of these teams should desire to be methodical on the offensive end, and we are going to see a lower projected tempo in this matchup.
These two defenses are pesky and we should see a decent amount of turnovers in this matchup. The Merrimack zone will be an issue here but App State did force a lot of turnovers last season, and we look for that to be the case here in this one. The last five minutes should be a crawl in what figures to be a lower scoring game.
